Folk at the Farm was created as a one-day folk festival at Frerichs Farm by former The Collaborative Executive Director, Uriah Donnelly.

The festival kicked-off on Sunday October 17, 2021 and immediately became a popular annual event, offering a full day of folk and acoustic music, food and art vendors, and continued under the umbrella of The Collaborative until 2025.

In 2026, Warren Holiday Festival was handed the reins in order to ensure that the event would continue without interruption.

Warren Holiday Festival was able to acquire full sponsorship for the event from Blount Fine Foods, with all printing donated by East Bay Printing & Copying.

We changed the name to Folk On the Farm for technical reasons; but the event remains the same: a full day of live music, and more vendors than ever.

Folk On the Farm will remain a FREE event for all and we’ve moved it to the last Sunday in September.

Folk on the Farm is presented by The Warren Holiday Festival, a 501c3 nonprofit in Warren, RI

The Bands

Catnip Junkies is a bunch of cool cats who really know how to swing.

From NOLA jazz and classic swing all the way to jazzed up modern pop songs, Catnip Junkies plays it all. They are a band dedicated to breathing new life, not only to old songs, but to current ones as well.

The Catnip Junkies bring the streets of New Orleans to Warren with their energetic, interactive, hilarious and entertaining show! Come dance, sing, laugh and swing, you won’t stop smiling all the way home!!

How’s About Charlie has been a local Rhode Island favorite since their formation in 2016, when a sweet crew of friends became known for their soul-stirring harmonies, intimate lyrics, and magnetic stage presence. Blending acoustic textures with modern storytelling, the band crafts songs that feel both timeless and fresh, capturing the emotional complexity of love, loss, and the human experience. Whether performing in cozy living rooms or under festival lights, How’s About Charlie brings a raw honesty and warmth that draws listeners in and keeps them close. This grammy-ballot band has released “Sweet”, an EP recorded and produced in the heart of Nashville's Music Row.

Atwater~Donnelly provide a unique and thrilling blend of traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, along with original songs and poetry. The highly praised husband-wife duo blends gorgeous vocals with a startling array of instruments including the mountain dulcimer, old-time banjo, tin whistle, guitar, mandolin, harmonica and feet.

A truly exciting development in the Atwater~Donnelly history started in 2003 with the addition of Cathy Clasper-Torch, a remarkable fiddler, cellist and vocalist who, in a word, blends.

House Band

House band is four crack/cracked musicians and friends from Warren, Rhode Island, supporting and showcasing the songs of their favorite artists by providing them with musical accompaniment in a monthly concert series at Arc{hive} book + snackery at 4 Market St, Warren, RI.
